Welcome to My Life, My Chaos.

Hi I am Stef, I am a new blogger on Divine Chaos.   I have tried to write about just me, but I keep going back to writing about my family. I have come to the realization that with out them I am not me. I have a wonderful Husband, and three little people that are my world. It has taken all four of them to make me the person I am today. I love life and truly believe that you need to be happy and to be happy you have to love yourself no matter what.

We did not start as two who have grown to five, but three who found what we were missing. Then we added the final piece to make us a whole. I was with my high school sweetheart for many years. In a few short years our life’s had changed, and so had we. My life between 19 and 22 was and still is a bit of a blur but the cliff notes are: we had moved in together, moved to Florida, Had two perfect little boys, moved back to Nebraska, separated and the boys and I moved back to Florida. I met my now husband Carlos a few years later. Had a little girl (my mother got her wish, she is just like me), got married and now it is the FIVE of us.

I am the mother of a child with Aspergers Syndrome & A.D.D, which makes my life nothing but interesting. I have a full time job as a mother of three, a “full time” gig with the government, a wife (yet another full time job),  a daughter to a great mother, a sister to many (no joke). Did I mention that I had Adult A.D.D.?

I grew up in a small town in Nebraska with my Mother and brother who was six years older then me. My parents were divorced by the time I was in first grade. I did not see my father every weekend or every other weekend. At the age of twelve or thirteen my parents sat us down and told us that my father had a daughter before my parents met. I asked “are there any other children we needed to know about?” I remember scanning both of my parents at the time, waiting for the answer but was told no. We went to meet her, her husband and their son shortly after that.  That whole thing only lasted a few short years. It became a thing of the past and everyone went on with their lives knowing she was out there but due to life we lost contact. I tried to contact her for years but to no avail. At twenty-five I was told I had yet two more siblings from my father, brothers that were younger then I am. I have met one of them and the other wants nothing to do with anyone. Last summer I reconnected with my older sister on Facebook and talk often. We are planning our first family vacation together in April.  I still have no idea how to answer the question “how many siblings do you have?” 1,2,4 I don’t know, so always answer with “your guess is as good as mine”.

I am excited about my new adventure here on Divine Chaos and will try to post often. As you can see my life is far from ordinary.

Hi Stef! It’s great to meet you! Not everyone has the perfect life, but in the end as you grow, it’s what you make it. Sounds like you’re doing ok now :)
